On Vista, Explorer is similar to chrome in that there is no control menu  
icon,
however a control menu exists. I think perhaps Chrome should also do the  
same.

Double clicking to maximise is expected in the titlebar, but I think in the  
very
left, it should be considered the control menu, as that is the standard  
expectation
of the top left of the titlebar.
