Comment #9 on issue 4952 by jjnhendriks: net error: cannot load ftp://ftp.esker.com http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4952
Yes, in developper version 2.0.160.0 this seems to be improvoed. There is no more the error message : "This webpage is not available. The webpage at ftp://ftp.esker.com/uploads might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. More information on this error Below is the original error message Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error." When going to a FTP site, like ftp://ftp.esker.com/uploads It is now correctly showing the FTP site ! Well done. Only IE 7 shows an extra message : "To view this FTP site in Windows Explorer, click Page, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer." Chrome doesn't seem to have a button somewhere to fall back to the file explorer of the OS. Or better would be to have an integrated FTP client which allows to upload files directly from out of Chrome to the FTP site. But probably here I'm dreaming a bit too much. ;-) -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
