Comment #2 on issue 7699 by [email protected]: make the list of 'most visited' (?) sites accessible in omnibox with "mouse only" http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=7699
I was also wondering what that list contains in IE and FF (so, quotation marks and a question mark :-)). In IE7, it's not MRU afaict. After writing my initial report, I realized that (aside from more mouse movement :-) ) there's one difference (potentially important to some users) between going to a new tab (by pressing '+' button because they don't want to touch the keyboard :-)) and selecting a site and using the dropdown list of sites in the omnibox. The latter allows a user to go to a site of her choice in the current tab while the former does not. I'm not sure if that difference is significant enough to have this feature added. I'll also point our UX person to this request. He may have some insight/data about the dropdown list in IE/FF. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
