Since Comment 5 mentions that the scrolling issue does not happen in stable 1.0.154.48, I uninstalled the dev build and re-installed chrome to test using the stable build, and the issue is present in the stable build as well. The problem here is not about displaying the drop down list or scrolling the list by dragging the scrollbar. The issue is that the drop down list should scroll(instead of the entire page) when using the mouse wheel for scrolling if the cursor is within the drop down list. This is the behavior of all other major browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera). I hope I have explained the issue adequately here.
