Funnily enough, someone on the Firefox side liked Chrome's behavior so much that they've submitted a patch to implement it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431098 Again, if Chrome's behavior is changed, please retain a way to clear the file field.
