New issue 16996 by jdhore1: Memory values in Task Manager are incorrect http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16996 Chrome Version: 3.0.195.0 (Developer Build 0) SVN revision r20864 OS + version : Debian 5.0/Lenny CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 64-bit window manager : Metacity/GNOME URLs (if applicable) : N/A Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): N/A Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open Chromium 2. Go to the Task Manager 3. Notice that Chromium is "using" an incredibly large amount of RAM when it is clearly not. What is the expected result? Seeing normal RAM usage. What happens instead? RAM usage is incorrect and extraordinarily high. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and backtrace if possible. As you can see in this screenshot, Chromium claims to be using ~2.4GB of RAM. The system this is running on only has 2GB of RAM installed and 1.42GB of that was in use before Chromium was started.
