BTW, the button in question (.goog-imageless-button)  is given the  
following style:

font: 70% arial, sans-serif;

I didn't track down (up?) the ancestor elements, but it seems that 70%  
seems relative
to the default font size (16px . 16 * 0.7 = 11.2 => 11px).

So, we're doing what we're supposed to do here. Why is it different in IE?
