Comment #5 on issue 17495 by breidenbach: ~/Downloads -> ~/downloads http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=17495
My specific use case was downloading a public domain book "Relativity" from Google Books in PDF format. The default Linux viewer for PDF files is not capable of showing the portrait of Albert Einstein towards the beginning of the book, but acroread is. So I opened a terminal, hoping to type acroread D <tab> R <tab> enter. But instead I had to engage brain an disambiguate Desktop and Download. It sounds small, but it more than doubled the cognitive load. User experience subtleties are a major design goal of chromium, hence this report. It's not too late to change the default on Linux, but will be after the official release. Please reconsider. http://books.google.com/books?id=gQ8LAAAAYAAJ -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
