New issue 18814 by [email protected]: Middle-click on Youtube logo
doesn't open a new tab
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18814

Chrome Version : 3.0.197.11 (Official build 22553), but actually any
version

URLs (if applicable) : any video on youtube (if you want one quick link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=5KkWGy7W3_o&feature=PlayList&p=F02A5196FE648C5A )
Other browsers tested:
   Firefox 3.5.2: OK
          IE 7: FAIL
          IE 8: FAIL

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the link
2. Middle-click on the Youtube logo, in the top left corner

What is the expected result?
Youtube homepage is opened in a new tab

What happens instead?
It is opened in the same tab

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
This is a split from issue 2913 (check comments 51 and 54).
According to comment 55 there, Safari and Opera do not also work, but I
must notice that Firefox does actually work.

Also, right-clicking and choosing "Open in a new tab" works. I know you've
probably already considered it, but why not just making sure that middle-
clicking is identical to opening in a new tab?
