you are right, i wasn't middle clicking in that test but Ctrl Clicking
so although all browsers fail in Ctrl clicking that link,
when middle clicking...
FF: OK
Opera: OK
Safari: Fail
IE8: FAIL
btw, when Ctrl clicking with FF it will work if i click many times
also, i can't Right click and choose open in a new tab with IE/FF. only
Chrome,
Safari and Opera can do that for that link
