I think you can see the problem on just about any NYTimes.com article page, where there are Flash components running. Indeed it is a killer to using Chromium on a laptop on battery. You put just a few pages up, like Times articles picked from their RSS page, and you are at 50% CPU on a duo core machine. By comparison, with 50 similar pages, Firefox is fine. Please find it!
