Comment #4 on issue 3768 by crysmmew: Searching for separate words in Ctrl+F bar, the google toolbar behaviour http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3768
Although this would be a useful feature, I feel I should add that I use the search box to search for phrases far more often than I would use it to find one of several words. I suggest that if this feature is implemented, text should be interpreted by default as a phrase if no delimiter (such as the semicolons suggested by Progame) or control word (e.g., OR) is used. Using quotation marks in the search box as control characters could be problematic if a user is specifically searching for a quote in the page, and might confuse regular users. If nothing workable comes up, there's always the option of making an Advanced Search box button. It could incorporate features like issue 8717 without taking up any more screen space (which Chrome has worked so hard to preserve). -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
