Comment #8 on issue 27657 by [email protected]: REGRESSION: Missing search box in cookie dialog http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=27657
Yes, it does take away some functionality, and we've removed a lot more functionality than that before (e.g. we've removed options on how to handle mixed content, 3rd party cookies, ...). We think of things in terms of user experience, not just the interface - that includes functionality, so I apologize for any confusion in terminology. As I said earlier, the existing implementation was quite buggy, so I doubt it was being used that extensively. Sadly, there were not any UMA statistics on that feature, so I can't back that up. So, in the absence of such data, I am still inclined to let it go and see how it pans out. I'm not trying to say that we will never consider bringing it back, merely that two people complaining about a cookie option is not convincing to me. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
