We allow sites to initiate downloads un-prompted. These downloads can have  
potentially
enticing names, such as "iTunes Setup.(dmg|exe)", so that when you later  
search for
them and click on them you think "Of course I downloaded this from the  
internet" and
blow right past the part that shows you where you downloaded it from, if  
that part
exists on your OS. The main reason this prompt exists is because of these  
un-user-
initiated downloads of potentially dangerous files.

This has been marked fix-it for a while, as Issue 9044
