Comment #37 on issue 10727 by powerjamdjs: Very heavy cache-access makes for serious performance degradation http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=10727
Just wanted to chime in that I had serious disk caching problems and overall slow performance - I could not navigate at all, I only had 4 tabs open. I have been using an sd card class 6 for readyboost (Vista 64-bit, 3gb ram, core2duo T7200 cpu). I went to my Users\me\AppData\local\google\chrome\user data\default folder and found multiple HUGE files there History-journal was over 18 GB, History was over 18gb, multiple large journal files. I do a lot of surfing daily. But there was over 60gb in this one folder. I went to chrome's option to clear browsing data and let it run overnight. In the morning the files are all under 1mb EXCEPT History-Journal which is still 18GB! and Thumbnails- Journal at 284mb. I never deleted my history file manually. I basically just wanted to let you know that my files went well over the 2gb others in this report have stated.
