No they haven't. What Apple has shown us is that they basically don't give  
a crap anymore about consistency or
usability. Apple being lame doesn't mean it's okay for Google to be lame.  
That sounds like Adobe talking.
Consistency is king in a GUI. The close button should always be on the left  
on a Mac. Always.
