Comment #60 on issue 12035 by alanhogan: Close tab button on the wrong side http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=12035
I began a public wave entitled “Google Chrome on Mac: Tab Button Placement” containing a “Plus/Minus/Interesting” list for Chrome keeping its Mac tab close button on the right. I believe this is a link to the wave: https://wave.google.com/wave/?pli=1#restored:wave:googlewave.com!w%252BbyJEMuNPE.3 Or, you may need to search “with:public” and the title of the wave. Also, it may be possible to tweak the algorithm so that when the close-tab button is on the left and tabs are being closed from the right, the next tab’s close button could be right underneath the old one’s; for example, grow all the tabs to the left “a lot” and freeze the size of the rightmost remaining tab, sliding it over so that the X is under the mouse cursor. Perhaps this is the “best of both worlds”? -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
