Comment #22 on issue 30085 by a.skwar: Can't install .crx extensions http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=30085
Interesting - when I startx as root and run chromium (thus also as root), I am able to install extensions. That's interesting, because I "installed" (ie. unzipped) the chromium which I got from build.chromium.org in my normal users $HOME directory and all the directories in the unzipped dir have write permissions for my user (I just verified that this is so). So, why should it require root permissions - after all, all the direcotries do have write permissons for my user? BTW: I'm on a 32bit system, if that matters. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
