we've found a solution:
get the installer from
http://cache.pack.google.com/edgedl/chrome/install/295.0/chromeframe_installer.exe
then use the commandline to start the installer with the following
arguments:
chromeframe_installer.exe --do-not-launch-chrome --do-not-create-shortcuts
--do-not-register-for-update-launch --system-level --chrome-frame
have a lot of fun with it!
