Great argument BTW, But are we not all missing the point which is that
for the most part this browser runs in win2k regardless of the
intentions of the development team.
The other important consideration being is it worth the effort
installing and running for the vast majority of 2k users? I suspect
not, the reality of win2k is that it is better served by opera and
firefox at the moment.

"There is no way to buy a Windows 2000 license as of today" do you
really mean today or recently. because last time I looked it was still
available and so was 98se for that matter. Google are clearly tied in
to MS, and the rest of the cartel; that is dominating the PC market.
These market leaders (and manipulators) have a vested interest in
keeping the customer locked into the "upgrade" Game.

On another point there have been a number of very high profile
warnings about using chrome. I wonder how many people would be happy
to install this software if they had an inkling into the traffic that
it generates to google stat sites? Did I miss something in the
license agreement, most likely as you guys seem obsessed with the
legalities.

As it is my trail of chrome is over, I will only be using it now and
then as it simply doesn’t offer anything (to the average user) that is
not better served by opera.
