You ask too many questions in an email; I'll answer a few.

Q: Why no #chromium-dev?
A: It's not needed anymore. chromium-dev has archives. You can search
it if you want to know the reason.

Q: Why isn't chromium-dev more discoverable?
A #1: Crowd controlling.
A #2: People that have the potential to contribute useful patches do
find the group. I'm glad you found it.

Q: Google Groups UI sucks?
A: Uh? Don't use it then. Subscribe by email instead of using the
google groups UI. You don't need to use the UI at all. You can use
[list:chromium-dev] as a gmail filter to auto-archive it.

Q: Google Chrome Support redirects to webmaster support?
A: That's what 99.9% of the people want. If you care about Chromium
development, that's another story and you are at the right place.

Have nice holidays.
