I don't understand why you are so seemingly miffed, it's technically infeasible to add sync support to any non-Windows platform right now because much of the code in locked in a proprietary google sync .dll that they are currently trying to integrate directly into the Chromium code base. It's not as if they are snubbing Linux or Mac users, they are actively working on it right now. I assume this sync dll was preexisting or had to be developed in such a way that it couldn't be dumped into the code base all at once. I'd rather this get whatever they can out as soon as they can to most users than make all users wait until they nail the cross-platform code down.
