I know some of these have been mentioned before, and subsequently lost in the shuffle like this post will be, But i wanted to throw out some suggestions that i think are pretty necessary.
1. Be able to Download the necessary Setup files in a direct download package. I realize that it is a minimal browser and the size and time to download such files is incredibly small and quick, but it is extremely nice to be able to have that sense of portability and ease when installing on multiple computers. 2. Create a Portable Version of the Browser for Flash Drives. This ties into my first suggestion. The thing i love about firefox is its full functionality that is available as a standard browser on my desktop or as a portable app on my drive that I don't HAVE to reinstall/reconfigure on any and every computer I may need to use. I have all of my Bookmarks, extensions, etc... at my fingertips at any and every PC that has USB. 3. During Install, be able to choose installation directory. I'm pretty sure the default installation that exists might just be because this release is intended as a Beta Version, but I do hope a more finalized release will feature the ability to at least choose a particular directory for installation. I understand that as a beta version the primary user who installed the App would be someone who truley intended to use/test out the app, and thats why it wouldn't be necesarily ideal to install the app so every user will have access to the browser and any potential bugs. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chromium-discuss" group.
