I disagree, whenever I move from work to home/uni I have to change my
proxy settings. I've tried doing this with custom proxy.pac files
detecting my IP address, but firefox doesn't correctly give my local
ip, it gives 127.0.0.1. So this option is out, a central one stop
place of configuring proxies is a much better idea. Please keep using
Windows/IE's settings :)
