I can't understand what the problem you are having with things being
destroyed over and over when you don't want. I have never had things
get destroyed against my own intention ... aside from the occasional
lockup which happens with any application every once in a while. And
maybe the occasional moment where I forgot what I was doing and told
it to destroy something before I was ready. If everything you use has
this problem then you must be doing things wrong.

Imagine someone listening to the stereo system at home and complaining
because the music is too loud over their phone calls. All radios
should be hooked into the phone system so the volume can lower
whenever the phone is active and any intelligent electronics designer
should know you NEVER want blaring music whenever you talk on the
phone. It's stupid to even make a stereo system that destroys phone
conversations all the time.

Never mind the fact that some people have separate rooms where the
radio can continue to blare loudly while they talk on the phone in
quiet seclusion. Most people just learn to turn down the radio if they
need it turned down instead of complain because it doesn't work just
exactly they way they imagined.

I'm not saying making feature suggestions is a bad thing. But it's
just stupid to say that everyone is stupid because you never learned
how to use the software.
