Thanks for the link Sean. Quick question here. Not ever installing 
Chromium this way and although I actually succeeded in getting the 
latest version installed correctly, could you tell me if all I really 
needed was the Mini installer or both the installer and the latest .zip 
as well (downloading both into the same folder). I couldn't really tell 
what was happening during the install.

I know, kind of a stupid question but it would set me at ease here.
