In windows vista, expanding the volume to the volume mixer allows you
to mute specific programs and change their volumes overall. Perhaps a
button, or hot key, that will work while chrome is open to change
these settings. I do not do any coding like this. It is a thought. And
I suggest hot key because chrome tends to be simplified.
