I've been digging through the discussions here and (at least in the recent discussions) have not found a request for one of my favorite features in Firefox. Chrome already includes the Ctrl+Enter shortcut for completion of www.[address].com URLs, but I've come to rely on Ctrl +Shift+Enter for .org addresses and Shift+Enter for .net addresses. After fooling around for a day in Chrome without these shortcuts, I came to the conclusion that I really can't make a switch to a browser that doesn't include them. Would it be possible to add them to a future release?
For my other minor grievances, I'll wait until the extension architecture is implemented. However, if anyone is looking at what extensions should be available, I'd really like to see equivalents of AdBlock Plus (maybe a faux pas given Google's advertising business? still useful) and Greasemonkey (still iffy on the jerry-rigged nature of Greasemetal... clearly would be better to have it use a legitimate Chrome API). Monitoring for other Google services (GMail/Reader/etc.) would be nice too. One last thing: would it be possible to make the new tab page optional? It can be handy, but sometimes I'd much rather see a blank page when I open a new tab. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
