I thought i would be a little more helpful by replying with details,
since i was a little frustrated earlier.
WIN XP SP3
Chrome 2.0.172.31

When a page is refreshed, the parent process spawns loads (10+) of
ntdll.dll threads, all using a lot of CPU.  (RtlAllocateHeap+0x18c )

Might be a bug, or a feature, hopefully the former.
Same happens in SRWare Iron too.  (but that was expected)
