Good point, but when you're browsing a page (with the mouse) and you accidentally click a link I usually go straight for the stop button (even though I usually use enter and escape when I'm typing in URLs) because my hand is already on the mouse and I (used to) know exactly where the stop button was in such emergencies.
Of course, for people who don't use the keyboard, when they accidentally press back or forward it's nice to have the stop button nearby so that you don't have to wait for the page to finish loading, press back or forward to go to the page you were at, and potentially lose information (on dynamic pages, or those with forms). That, and it makes more sense to have all the navigation buttons together. ;) On Fri, 2009-08-14 at 11:10 +0300, PhistucK wrote: > On the other hand, if you always press Enter, then you should also > always press Esc to stop the navigation. :) > > ☆PhistucK > > > On Fri, Aug 14, 2009 at 07:27, alexandrojv <[email protected]> > wrote: > > I agree with the fact that the close button should be on the > left > side, since for some reason the mouse is closer over there, > but really > the Go button just changes into the close button, supposedly > you are > suppose to hit the Go button, and then click it again to stop > it, but > I always just hit enter, so that doesn't really work great for > me, > specially when clicking the forward, and back button. > > > On Aug 13, 2:57 pm, Doughy <[email protected]> wrote: > > I'm a big fan of Chromium, but one thing that is annoying is > that the > > "Stop Loading" button is on the other side of the URL Box. > It would > > make much more sense to put it with the rest of the > navigation buttons > > on the left side.
