All i can say is good luck getting that added.
That and being able to hide UI elements from extensions seems to be
one of the most hated "by them".

One of the main ones being the ability to hide the tab bar since it is
pretty much a waste of vertical space.
Vertical tab bars are superior for pretty much everyone.  Websites
rarely need a lot of width, they need height. (and older fixed
websites are usually small to begin with)
And disallowing it due to potential abuse is just silly, it isn't hard
to throw a popup asking for permission to hide things, it already
shows you a message if extensions require more permissions.
