Thanks I didn't even think of that before. Although your suggestion is helpful and would work what I am looking for is the quickest way to start-up chrome. Since I started installing extensions chrome loads up muich more slowly then it did before. What I'd like is to have a fast chrome startup then switch over to a version with extensions.
So for now I have a minimal "default" profile where only the speed dial extension is installed. Then I have a "Default-Extensions" profile I switch over to if I need it. Perfect solution would be to have an "extension for extension" where when you click it disables/enables all extensions. Please don't flame, I know I'm probably the only one in the whole chromeuniverse who would ever use such an extension LOL so thanks for reading this far lol On Jan 18, 2:51 pm, Farmer Farmer <[email protected]> wrote: > You can use the Incognito mode which disables extensions by default. > > On Jan 18, 7:32 am, david <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > Unfortunately that disables all extensions all the time... > > > So what I've done is just copied my "Default" profile into a secondary > > profile "Default-WithExtensions" and disabled all the extensions of > > the Default profile. > > > Chrome starts up as fast as it ever did, so if i am just browsing to > > read email or twitter the extensions won't be loaded.
