I think you should not inject HTML into the infobar, because it makes it complicated, takes longer to implement (I think the regular infobars do not support it) and is kind of getting out of scope for the whole infobar notion. It should have an icon (that you may specify, but maybe extension infobars should have the same 'extension infobar icon'), some text\link and a maximum of two buttons, in my opinion. Anything greater than that, should be a toolstrip\mole\sidebar (once it is implemented).
