Hmm.one problem with this behavior is that extensions are relying on the purging of localStorage to detect whether an extension was newly installed.
One comment in the bug was a suggestion that if the extension wanted to purge data it could do so on re-install. Catch-22. Or is there some other means of detecting a new install? Thanks!
