In fairness, if they were dispatching the events properly, it would be
rather trivial to write an autoscroll extension.  (It's been done on
Linux).

There's no harm in adding a built-in one, since the code is basically
written.  I just hope they don't eat the events when they do it.
FWIW, extensions are built on top of the DOM.  The most obvious need
to catch a middle-mouse event is an extension, but this bug is likely
breaking websites too.

In other news, there's a fella named Pauan who noted in the comments
of my extension that he's made an autoscroll extension for Linux.
I've only seen one user in the Chrome community with that name.  I bet
it would be pretty easy to track him down and get a copy of it.  =)
