Also, regarding (5), you can add a STAR to the following issue to be
notified of updates:

http://crbug.com/29117 - Make it easy to post feedback on gallery
extensions
(by clicking the ID of each extension on the chrome://extensions/
page)

Point (2) is similar, but currently the extension's author is not
displayed per extension.  Might be a good idea to submit a feature
request for that:  http://new.crbug.com/
