Churchill Lecture Series 2008-2009
October sees the launch of the 2008-2009
Churchill Lecture Series. We have six new exciting lectures on a broad range
of subjects. The lectures begin on 21 October 2008 with Hugh Lunghi's
observations of 'The Big Three' - Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt.11 November
2008, Professor Geoffrey Best will offer an insight into 'Churchill's Women'.10
February 2009, Nicholas Rankin, discussing 'Churchill's Wizards: the British
Genius for Deception'12 March 2009, Alison Holmes will investigate 'Iconic
Relationships and Transatlantic Affairs'. 7 April 2009, Gary Sheffield
will discuss 'Churchill the Unsinkable Politician' 5 May 2009, Lord David Owen
will examine 'In Sickness and In Power: Winston Churchill and Franklin
