I second Mr. Triebwasser's recommendation of Sir Martin Gilbert's,
"Churchill and the Jews: A Lifelong Friendship" It clarifies much and
is perhaps the most comprehensive treatment of Churchill's long
relationship with  Jews and Zionism. In addition, I would recommend,
Michael Makovsky's, "Churchill's Promised Land: Zionism and
Statecraft"---an excellent work.
