> Churchill’s defense of his famous ancestor did not stop with his own

...which puts one in mind of WSC's riposte when challenged by a later
Paget at Question Time:

Mr. Paget MP: “If the Prime Minister will not
tell us whether the Americans have accepted
the Belgian rifle, will he tell us whether
anybody has accepted it? Have the French?
Have even the Belgians? Are we not alone?”

WSC: "I am not in the least alarmed by being
shouted at. In fact, I rather like it. The descendant
of Paget’s Examen will, I hope, be very
careful and precise in his facts, and be careful
in not misrepresenting and misquoting and
otherwise defaming other people. He was a
great defender of my ancestor."
