I am not so sure it was really a tourist trap. Interestingly, there were a
large number of kilted men and women in the pub last night. We went there
because it is within walking distance of my house, and about 2 blocks away from
where a friend we were meeting had been staying.

As for the Thai food, a few pubs in my neighborhood seem to have an associated
Thai restaurant, instead of serving traditional English pub food. Not sure
why, except that people can be getting tired of fish and chips and bangers and
mash. The food was pretty good though.

I do agree though that if you are looking for Churchillian memorabilia, it is
not worth the detour.
