La Paz, Sep 15 (Prensa Latina) Appearing at a news conference Friday with Asuncion´s Ambassador to La Paz Nimia Oviedo, Bolivian Defense Minister Walker San Miguel denied the existence of a confrontation with Paraguay and even less any cooling in their bilateral relations.
At the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the top official told press that speculations on this matter come from sectors interested in dividing the two neighboring nations.
San Miguel also stated that those stories in some Bolivian media are incorrect.
Monday, Bolivian President Evo Morales accused the United States of fostering a campaign of attacks on Bolivia in Paraguay, in an attempt to set both countries at odds, and warned it would not achieve that aim, recalled the minister.
