Hi, Do you mean the DNS server is replying with 4 ldap records? Or do you mean the Solaris CIFS server only detected 4 servers? How many domain controllers are in the domain that the CIFS server is trying to join?
Could you please run the following scripts and send us the output so that we can understand your setup/configuration? http://opensolaris.org/os/project/cifs-server/files/cifs-chkcfg http://opensolaris.org/os/project/cifs-server/files/cifs-gendiag Could you also attached a network trace of the join domain process using smbadm and capture a trace between the CIFS server and the DNS server? If you can, please use wireshark or solaris snoop, i.e. snoop -d <NIC interface> -o <filename> <ip> <ip>. An update has been included in onnv 94 to use TCP during DNS query of service location records. CR 6718834 - use TCP for sending DNS request to query service location (SRV) records for ADS hosts Thanks, Hoa [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > I'm having the same issue "smdadm failed to find any domain controllers" > > > > We have 4 /_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.<domain>. /records returned/./ > > Has there been a fix added to open_solaris.
