Thank you Afshin. Hopefully someone with idmap knowledge sees my post. Only clues I see in messages is these: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/run/idmap# cat /var/adm/messages | grep idmap Nov 3 18:17:15 reaver smbd[591]: [ID 251760 daemon.error] smb_idmap_start: idmap_init failed (RPC error) Nov 3 18:17:15 reaver smbd[591]: [ID 289420 daemon.error] smb_idmap_restart: smb_idmap_start failed Nov 3 18:17:15 reaver smbd[591]: [ID 118120 daemon.error] smb_token_create: idmap failed
It did that once when I restarted smbd. Given that the system was working well for a long time before this, is there anything I can do to wipe/reset everything about smbd/idmap state so I can start over and get it running again? I tried moving the idmap.db files in /var/idmap & /var/run/idmap. It re-creates them but still dies. -M. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ cifs-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/cifs-discuss
