Aha, so the oplocks features may cause issues, lol. It was a random stab, and yeah, I know, they weren't exactly "instructions". It didn't seem to make that much of a difference for this particular scenario (three large ISO files), but you'd probably recommend that I leave it disabled in general, right? And yeah, I'd be happy to help out by getting network traces for comparison (between Windows 2008 and osol 2008.11 should be fairly easy) - however, how would you have any idea on the filter to use to get just the relevant SMB exchange parts? (If I just do a straight dump using tcpdump or similar, it would have all packets, all 400 odd Mb worth, correct?)
