Final status for this thread: Setting set ip:dohwcksum = 0 brought me from about 60 MB up to 300 MB of succsseful copied data.
Following http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=91282 and changing the interrupt type of rge to FIXED raised the limit again from 300 MB to about 6 GB. So I have to divide my data to copy in chunks of less than 6 GB :-( Hope the rge driver gets fixed soon.
