Just curious, but do you see the problem copying data to the Solaris CIFS server, or copying it from the server?
I have been seeing this or a similar problem through many builds. Apparently I can copy data to the CIFS server with no problems since I am keeping data up to date with what is on a NetApp using daily robocopy jobs. However, if I try to start using the data on the CIFS server by switching users onto it I will get the hang within about three or four hours.
