Just curious, but do you see the problem copying data to the Solaris CIFS
server, or copying it from the server?

I have been seeing this or a similar problem through many builds. Apparently I
can copy data to the CIFS server with no problems since I am keeping data up to
date with what is on a NetApp using daily robocopy jobs. However, if I try to
start using the data on the CIFS server by switching users onto it I will get
the hang within about three or four hours.

I've been hoping the problem was addressed in b124 as the fix for bug ID
6846569, but seeing your message I'm worried that is not the case.

Who are you talking to? (reply-all would help)

Personally we encountered issues with the Win7 RC mounting, browsing
and searching CIFS shares. On a build after 2008.11, we started
getting lockups, and I had to revert back to 2008.11. XP clients
would lock the server in 3-4 hours, while our win7 clients were
locking it up within 15-30 seconds.

I had hoped 2009.06 would fix the issue, but the 2009.06 final release
still had the bug and it wasn't fixed until a later build (somewhere
in the 114 to 118 range to my knowledge). Luckilly I hadn't updated
my zpools to the newer format, which allowed me to reinstall 2008.11
and just import my existing pools.

Supposedly it is fixed now, but I haven't had the chance to try the
latest 124/125 to confirm that it's stable for our application.
