Possibly because her UNIX\USER name or password is different from her WINDOMAIN\USER name and password.
Try explicitly mapping a share as UNIX\USER and tell the client to remember the mapping or reconnect automatically. Please note that we advise against using build snv_111b for SMB/CIFS because of known problems. http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=405638 Alan -- Alan Landucci-Ruiz wrote:
I have a customer who is required daily to re-authenticate to the share that she has in her "My Network Places" folder. I've turned off the timeouts for the share, but the logs indicate that her authentication is done using the wrong domain. While she should be trying to authenticate using domain Unix (UNIX\USER), her computer tries to authenticate using its current domain (WINDOMAIN\USER). I've tried reproducing her problem on my XP machine, but was unable to, so I think this may be limited to Vista, but I have no Vista machine to test. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?
