Ok, it seems that I'm facing this problem for weeks now,
what I get so far:
- It involves, close to sure, the autohome shares (after restarting
service, what includes resetting them, it works here reproducible, when
normal working hours are back it is reproducible broken)
- It hits ALL samba-based clients ((O)SOL?, Linux, MacOS), with diffrent
symptoms, at least linux users are unable to get a share-listing with
there filebrowser integrated stuff, smbclient -L works fine
- analyzing communication with wireshark and talking to some deep samba
involved guys gave me the hint, that it could be connected with the
totalentriecount in the srvsvc reply, this value is set by the server
but not corrected after filtering out the private shares (=> would
introduce the fact that some users have to be active on our server here
to reproduce this problem). According to what I have been told on samba
side it is set to positive infinity as well as it is set by windows
servers, maybe doing so it is some count on your own message. It could
also be that the whole problem has nothing to do with this, it is just a
theory.

OnGoing analysis:
Currently I do some traffic-forensic with those samba guys
Additionally I'd like to setup a secondary cifs server, to get a 100%
uncritical system, what could be treated as I wish to do so, maybe I
could get some more information about the problem occurrence.
