In order to help, it would be useful to see the complete commands
being used and full details of your configuration. Abbreviations
such as "zfs set sharesmb=name=..." are not helpful in diagnosing
problems.

If nothing there helps, cifs-gendiag output and a network capture
would be useful.

All my zfs file systems are mounted in /export/home/share. I share those via
the "zfs set sharesmb=name=..." command.

I set the ACLs recursively for parent directory /export via SSH directly on
the solaris server with all shares mounted. So every share has the same ACL
properties.
I don't understand why the login from Windows won't work with a user that
belongs to the same group as the owner of the files when the owner can log
in with no problems.
